CLEVELAND, Ohio - The holiday season is coming. My husband and I are invited to many parties and get-togethers. Over the past few years, more and more of these invitations include BYOB.
I am not a big drinker, and my husband drinks very expensive bourbon. We tend to bring a bottle of wine, which I may have a glass or two of, and his favorite bottle of bourbon.
I don’t mind leaving behind whatever wine remains, but my husband feels that it is OK to bring back his bottle of liquor when we leave. My husband argues it’s acceptable to take home unopened or barely touched bottles of expensive liquor, while I believe we should leave everything behind. I should mention that he is usually the only one that drinks bourbon.
