EXCLUSIVE: David Castañeda ( The Umbrella Academy, Ballerina ) has been cast in a leading role in the as-yet-untitled home invasion film from Lionsgate and Talking Pictures’ horror label Midnight Pictures. He stars opposite the previously announced Aimee Carrero on the project, which recently wrapped production in Los Angeles.
The film follows Lorena Figueroa (Carrero), whose mind is focused on her 12-year-old son’s safety after a recent accident. This is why their home security system is so crucial. It keeps a watchful eye on him when she can’t. But when surprise attackers appear, the cameras can only watch as masked invaders stalk mother and son in a real-time home invasion nightmare.
Castañeda plays Ben, a doctor and Lorena’s husband.
