WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Emily Srejma sank a shot in the closing seconds to lift Minnesota State Moorhead to a 68-66 overtime victory against Central Missouri on Tuesday in nonconference NCAA Division II women's basketball at Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
The Dragons (2-1) trailed by as many as five points in overtime before they rallied. MSUM closed the game on an 11-4 run.
Junior guard paced Abby Berge the Dragons with 15 points, while Terryn Johnson added 13 points. MSUM point guard Ashton Safranski scored 10 points with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. The 6-foot-4 Srejma, a Fargo Shanley graduate, finished with four points and four rebounds.
The Dragons next play Minnesota Crookston at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in their first NSIC game this season.
