DETROIT- The Detroit Pistons announced today that guard Jaden Ivey has been assigned to the Motor City Cruise, the G League affiliate of the Pistons, as he gets closer to returning to play.
Ivey underwent an arthroscopic procedure in mid-October to relieve discomfort in his right knee, which has delayed his return to the court.
The former 5th overall pick in 2022 was sidelined for over half of last season after breaking his fibula in a game on January 1st, 2025. Ivey saw his first action in over ten months in Detroit’s preseason opener, but has not played since.
Before the fibula injury, Ivey was in the midst of a breakout season, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and four assists per game on 46% overall shooting and 40.9% shooting from 3.
