Slipknot have struck a deal with HarbourView Equity Partners that involves selling a majority stake in their catalog, including publishing and recording royalties.
“After 25 years of taking on the music business, we find ourselves with a partner that is willing to sign onto continuing what Slipknot started,” Slipknot’s Michael “Clown” Crahan said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter , who broke the news. “Only they want to go even bigger. Get ready. Hail The Knot.”
Earlier this year, HarbourView bought a stake in Kelly Clarkson’s catalog . They’ve also made deals for the catalogs of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Christine McVie, T-Pain, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, George Benson, Luis Fonsi, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, Kane Brown, and many others.
