WAWARSING, N.Y. — A Greenfield Park resident was charged with petit larceny after stealing a pocket book from a woman at a village food pantry, Ellenville police said.
Alexander A. Smushkovich, 67, of Mansfeld Road, Greenfield Park, Wawarsing, was arrested at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, and charged with misdemeanor petit larceny. Smushkovich was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court, police said.
The arrest followed an incident reported to police at about 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, when Ellenville police responded to the alleged theft of a pocketbook at the 2 Clinton Ave. food pantry, police said.
