President Donald Trump on Tuesday lashed out at a reporter who asked about the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi while Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited the White House.
Trump said bin Salman “knew nothing about" the October 2018 brutal murder of the Washington Post columnist at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018, according to The Guardian
U.S. intelligence analysts concluded that bin Salman orchestrated Khashoggi’s murder. He has denied any involvement.
Trump blasted the ABC News reporter who asked the question as “fake news,” the online outlet reported.
“You’re mentioning somebody that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman [Khashoggi] that you’re talking about, Trump said, according to The Guardian.
