GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Allegiant Air pilots held a nationwide picket on Tuesday, and here in West Michigan, pilots were picketing outside of Grand Rapids' Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

The pilots are represented by Teamsters Local 2118, and their goals in negotiations include a "fair" contract and an end to ongoing negotiation delays.

Alex Fontaine is a captain with Allegiant Air. He was outside the airport in Grand Rapids on Tuesday. He said the picket's purpose was to bring awareness to the ongoing negotiation delays.

"The pilots of Allegiant Air, along with some of our flight attendants and support from other airlines, are out here doing an informational picket in order to bring awareness that our contract negotiations have been dragging on for way too long," said Fontaine. " W
