The president of the Alberta Soccer Association has been removed from the organization’s board and suspended from all association activities for five years following an independent investigation into a workplace harassment complaint, the organization says.

The association’s director, Alison Meaney, said in an email that the results of an independent investigation into the alleged conduct of president JR Figueiredo were “troubling and deeply concerning.”
