BREWER, Maine (WABI) - With craft fair season underway, one upcoming fair will allow shoppers to lend a hand for senior citizens.

This Saturday, the annual Holiday Craft Fair will be returning to the Eastern Area Agency on Aging’s Durgin Center in Brewer. The craft fair will run from 9 am to 2 pm.

The event will feature more than 25 local vendors with holiday themed apparel, as well as an appearance from children’s author Pam Ortel.

There will be a $2 entry fee at the door, which go directly towards helping the Durgin Center provide for older adults with disabilities.

Organizers say it’s also a great event for shoppers to connect with the community and to become familiar with the agency’s programs.
