BILLINGS, Mont. – A Billings man has been sentenced to 108 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for distributing child abuse material, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Montana.

Kole David Kuntz, 41, pleaded guilty in July 2025 to two counts of distribution. U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters presided over the case.

The government detailed that in November 2024, law enforcement used an undercover online persona on a social media site. They posed as a man with a minor daughter, leading to interactions with an account linked to Kuntz.

Conversations between Kuntz and the undercover persona became inappropriate. Kuntz, upon learning the "daughter" was 12, indicated he "could have a lot of fun with her."
