A Louisiana lawmaker was the only person to vote against the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
The House voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bill Tuesday to force the Department of Justice to publicly release its files on convicted sex offender Epstein, a remarkable display of approval for an effort that had struggled for months to overcome opposition from President Donald Trump and Republican leadership.
Rep. Clay Higgins voted against the release in a 427-1 vote on the House floor.
Trump, in recent days, also reversed course, advocating for the release of the files.
