RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The man killed in an October crash on Spooner Summit has been identified.
Nevada Highway Patrol says that at around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, troopers responded to eastbound US50 near Douglas County just east of Spooner Summit for a reported crash.
An initial investigation found that a 1995 Chevy Silverado driven by 20-year-old William Barkdoll of Gardnerville, was headed east when the driver allowed the truck to leave the eastbound lanes and run off the right side of the road, hit the concrete barrier, spin counterclockwise, overturn and move across eastbound lanes of US50.
Barkdoll was pronounced dead at the scene.
