MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says that an arrest has been made in a woman’s murder from October 2024. Court records show that the suspect was arrested at the scene at the time of the crime, but for unrelated drug charges.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home on Shadowland Cove, located in the Long Creek community, at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 29.
Upon arrival, deputies found a woman, identified as 31-year-old Ta’Lesha Wise-Farmer, dead in a bedroom with gunshot injuries.
SCSO reports that 30-year-old Nigel Farmer, whose address matches that of the home where the crime occurred, was identified as the individual responsible for her death following “an extensive investigation” over the past year.
