DES MOINES, Iowa —
Two new nonstop flights are coming to the Des Moines International Airport.
Allegiant Air and the Des Moines Airport Authority announced the airline will soon add flights from Des Moines to Burbank, California, and Philadelphia. Those flights will begin in May 2026.
The news comes as the airport continues work on a new $557 million terminal . The airport has added several new nonstop destinations in the last couple of years, including Boston; Jacksonville ; Los Angeles ; Gulf Shores, Alabama ; and Fort Myers, Florida .
"These new routes build on the existing momentum, offering Iowans even more nonstop choices while supporting continued growth for both the airline and our airport," Des Moines Airport Authority CEO Brian Mulcahy said in a news release announc
