Honolulu police have opened an investigation after an alleged armed robbery this morning at a bus stop in Maili.
Police said a 15-year-old girl was waiting at the bus stop at Farrington Highway and St. Johns Road at about 7:05 a.m. when a white Kia sedan pulled up. Four males wearing black clothing and black ski masks were inside the vehicle.
One of the males got out, brandished a handgun and took money from the girl’s backpack before returning to the vehicle, police said. The suspects then fled.
The victim was not injured.
Police did not say how much money was taken from the teen’s backpack or provide a more detailed description of the suspects.
