On Tuesday at 2:06 p.m. a high surf advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Thursday 10 a.m. until Friday 4 a.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
The weather service says to be ready for, "Large breaking waves of 20 to 24 feet."
"Large breaking waves will create hazardous conditions along and within the surf zone, and could inundate beaches and low-lying shorelines. Beach erosion is possible, and exposed infrastructure may be damaged," explains the weather service. "Stay away from the surf zone and off of jetties. Area beaches may become hazardous due to dangerous surf conditions."
