OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Some showers and a few thunderstorms moved through the Omaha area Monday, with some places experiencing thunder and lightning and even small hail.
Eppley Airfield recorded nearly 1/2″, which is the most rain the Omaha metro has seen so far this month by far. Previously, Eppley had only recorded 0.14″ for the entire month! Other parts of the area saw much-needed rain as well, mainly on the northern half of the viewing area.
A closer look at the metro shows 0.28″ in Blair, 0.17″ in Millard and 0.14″ in Wahoo.
This viewer photo was sent in by Casey in Bellevue, Nebraska. Although this may look like snow at first glance, this is a pile of very small, pea-sized hail.
You can see similar sized hail in this photo sent in by Michael, covering a majority of the deck!
