Arrest warrants give new insight into an unsettling case out of Sandy Springs announced by police on Monday, in which a mom is accused of murder in the death of her 11-year-old daughter.

Sandy Springs PD said yesterday the mom, Shannon Grimes, was still in the hospital and had not talked to detectives about her daughter's death, which was discovered on Saturday.

Arrest warrants obtained Tuesday by 11Alive detail how Grimes' sister was the one who called police, worried after the mom "made statements that she had attempted to commit suicide."

The sister had a key to the apartment at the Laurel Grove Condominiums on Carp
