SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame will host Syracuse on Saturday for Senior Day, and the matchup could hold extra meaning as the Irish might see a familiar face on the opposite sideline.

Former Notre Dame quarterback Steve Angeli, who transferred from Notre Dame to Syracuse during the offseason, could make the trip to Notre Dame Stadium despite suffering a torn Achilles tendon in September. The injury will sideline him for the remainder of the 2025 season.

For Angeli, a return to South Bend would be meaningful after spending three years with the Irish program. Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman said he would welcome seeing his former player.
