A judge has denied bond for both teens accused in the slaying of a Traverse City employee last weekend.
Eugene Dale Thompson, 17, and Hunter Vanderwall, 18, both of Traverse City, have been charged with murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Lawrence Boyd, a city parking services worker. They were arraigned Tuesday in 86th District Court in Traverse City.
A judge denied bond for both teens after Grand Traverse County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Kyle Attwood said the suspects would present a danger to the community if released on bond, according to a livestream of the proceedings. Thompson, the alleged gunman, has been charged as an adult in the case.
