The Met Office has issued weather warnings across Scotland as snow and icy condition affect much of the country during what it calls the "first notable cold snap of this autumn". It comes after snow fell across parts of Scotland as wintry weather grips the northern half of the UK. ‌

Snow has already fallen across parts of northern Scotland, with wintry showers expected to continue in areas exposed to brisk northerly winds. Now, the Met Office issued yellow warnings for ice and snow covering all of Scotland, with the exception of some parts of the east and west coast. ‌
