The faculty, staff and Archbishop Carroll High School family is mourning the death of one of the students during the weekend.

John Dawson McCullough, 17, a junior at the school, passed away following an unexpected cardiac event on Saturday.

According to his obituary, McCullough survived a brain tumor as a child.

At Carroll, he played baseball and soccer and was instrumental in helping to found the Wiffle Ball Club.

Baseball was a passion, he was an avid Phillies fan as well as the Flyers, and he enjoyed watching pro wrestling. John was a strong and resilient young man, surviving a brain tumor as a child and growing into a young man who was beloved and will be dearly missed by many, his obit reads.
