EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Many at the Future Women of Criminal Justice Symposium say the criminal justice field is dominated heavily by men, and it has been for quite some time.

The EVSC partnered with the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center to show that it doesn’t have to be.

Boonville High School senior Taylor McRoberts was voted by her peers to host the event.

“Women can do everything, it’s not just nurturing,” McRoberts stated. “They give good insight into things, they think different ways they just have so many characteristics, and it’s just amazing to see that being brought to the table.”

Law enforcement, prosecutors, and even members of the FBI all took the podium to motivate the future criminal justice professionals who were there.
