Penn State’s path to a 6-6 regular season goes through Nebraska.

The 4-6 Nittany Lions, 28-10 winners over Michigan State in East Lansing last Saturday, host the 7-3 Cornhuskers on Saturday night.

Matt Rhule’s Nebraska team, coming off a bye week, own a win over UCLA in the Rose Bowl.

Here are some X factors on both sides.

King Mack. Penn State has settled on its second safety to pair with Zakee Wheatley. It’s Mack, the Alabama transfer who began his career with the Lions.

Mack, one of the team’s fastest players, intercepted a pass in the second half against Indiana that provided the Penn State offense with a short field. PSU would score to take a fourth-quarter lead before falling to the Hoosiers.

Mack had six tackles and a tackle for loss in the Lions’ win at Michigan State.
