Clearing skies and chilly temperatures are in the forecast overnight. Watch for areas of freezing fog through Wednesday morning. After a mostly sunny, warmer Wednesday afternoon, a fast-moving system will drop through the region on Thursday. Some snow and rain are likely, with snow levels falling close to valley floors. This storm will not bring much snow, but controls are expected in the Sierra. The weekend looks dry, with good travel weather holding through the first days of next week. -Jeff
