WestJet announced in a Tuesday news release that it’s adding non-stop flights between Edmonton and Reykjavik, Iceland, to its summer 2026 schedule.
This will be the airline’s first non-stop connection between Edmonton and the Nordic island country. The route will fly once weekly, said John Weatherill, WestJet executive vice-president and chief commercial officer.
“Edmonton remains a vital cornerstone of WestJet’s network,” Weatherill said. “The addition of new non-stop service between Edmonton and Iceland reaffirms our commitment to maintaining strong global connections for Albertans.”
The new flights will be on WestJet’s 737 MAX fleet of aircraft, equipped with amenities and services such as free WestJet wi-fi.
