Fairplex is offering guests a chance to get closer to their roots with its annual Fall in the Farm event .

The hands-on fall harvest experience includes agriculturally focused activities, workshops and displays.

New this year are opportunities to buy arts and crafts — from ceramics to handmade items from LA’s Molcajete Dominguero — and take home a bit of LA County Fair history with “Fair-Tiquities,” a yard sale featuring small props and items used at previous fairs.

Children’s activities such corn grinding, pretend cow milking and seed-bomb making, as well as livestock animals and live performances from the Pomona Valley Bird Alliance and San Dimas Canyon Nature Center Animal Ambassadors, are planned.
