The Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked the Delhi Police to place on record the current status of investigations in the FIRs registered in connection with the 2020 North-East Delhi riots.

A Division Bench of Justices Vivek Chaudhary and Manoj Jain was hearing a batch of long-pending petitions seeking probe by an independent special investigation team, action against police personnel and FIRs against several political leaders accused of making inflammatory statements.

The Bench fixed the matter for further hearing on November 21 and directed the Delhi Police counsel, Dhruv Pande, to provide updated details, including the total number of FIRs.
