Mike Rivkin is an author, businessman and wildlife advocate, and his upcoming Friends of the Desert Hot Springs Library Author Series talk on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Desert Hot Springs Library will cover his lifetime of exciting and successful endeavors.

Interviewing Rivkin is like interviewing the Renaissance Man, so it was hard to know where to start. We settled on his childhood.

Rivkin grew up in the 1960s but was too young to participate in the anti-war demonstrations or be a flower child. He was surrounded by loving parents who ran a successful family business in San Diego.
