The Huntsville Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on Brahan Avenue SW Tuesday evening that left two people injured.

According to Don Webster with HEMSI, emergency crews responded around 5:30 p.m. to the 2200 block of Brahan Ave SW.

Huntsville Police say two people were injured in the shooting. One of the victims had to be taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say they have a suspect in custody but have not released any names or charges in connection with the incident.

Investigators say they believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and that the case remains under investigation.
