IOWA CITY — After the loss to Southern California, Iowa football dropped out of the latest College Football Playoff rankings, which were released Nov. 18.
The Hawkeyes were ranked 21st before their 26-21 loss to USC on Nov. 15.
Iowa is 6-4 overall, including 4-3 in Big Ten play. Four of Iowa's five power-conference victories have come by double-digits. That includes Wisconsin and Minnesota, which Iowa outscored by a combined 78-3.
Iowa's four losses have come by a combined 15 points. The Hawkeyes lost to Iowa State by three, Indiana by five, Oregon by two and USC by five. Two of those four teams (Indiana and Oregon) are currently ranked in the top 10 of the CFP rankings.
The Hawkeyes have two regular-season games remaining: Michigan State (home) and Nebraska (away).
