BROSLEY, Mo. (KFVS) - After rallying the community, Twin Rivers High School secured enough votes to win a nationwide contest for a $50,000 grant.
But what will the prize money be used for?
KI, a furniture manufacturer, held its annual Classroom Furniture Giveaway, which offers K–12 educators the chance to renovate their learning environments with innovative furniture.
Twin Rivers was one of the finalists, competing against another school in Missouri and a school in Florida.
Their design was to improve the school’s library in honor of their beloved late librarian, Holly Johnson, who passed away on the first day of classes this school year.
Since Twin Rivers was able to win enough votes, the school will now be able to use the money to design the Holly Johnson Library.
