1. Against Kentucky, MSU shows its way works just fine

NEW YORK — Michigan State deserves a lot of credit for being ready for the stage Tuesday night, for having toughness and discipline ingrained in their approach, and for finding a groove offensively and not letting go.

This was an eye-opening performance up and down the Spartans’ roster — from Jeremy Fears Jr., who took another step toward becoming MSU’s next great point guard, to Kur Teng, who took a massive step toward being a factor this season, from Jaxon Kohler, who played like grown man, to Jesse McCulloch, who now looks like he could be a weapon as a legitimate depth piece offensively.
