Trent Grisham made his big-money decision.
A $22.05 million salary to play center field for the Yankees again in 2026 was too good to pass up over pursuing more years and more money with a smaller average annual value as a free agent.
Facing a Tuesday deadline, Grisham accepted the Yankees’ qualifying offer , which was a $17.05 million raise from the $5 million that he made last season.
“I do love this team,” Grisham told NJ Advance Media in August. “I will say that. And this clubhouse is really amazing, led by (Aaron) Judge.”
