AAA and other agencies are stressing safe driving habits over the next few weeks, with millions of people expected to travel for Thanksgiving.
According to estimates from AAA, nearly 82 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles for the holiday, including 3.4 million from Ohio. Advertisement
The Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving are expected to be the busiest travel days, as well as the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
As drivers get behind the wheel to head to their destinations, AAA reminds people to drive sober, take precautions and plan ahead. AAA responded to nearly 600,000 emergency roadside assistance calls over the last Thanksgiving holiday period.
