MARINETTE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is aware of rumors and allegations circulating on social media regarding the safety and security of the Pembine School.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office has been working closely with the Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District administration regarding an investigation.

Last week, deputies responded to the Pembine School for a report of a student who had made comments about self-harm and/or harm to others.

Deputies investigated the allegations and took proper steps to ensure the safety of the students and the school.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate these allegations in partnership with school district administration, per district protocols.
