An Australian man aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise was kicked off the ship, but his family opted to continue their vacation without him after he was booted for an alleged assault against another passenger.

The 44-year-old brawler, whose name was not shared, was traveling with his family on the cruise line’s “Anthem of the Seas” when he allegedly beat up another man just four days into the voyage, the Otago Daily Times reported.

The New Zealand police were alerted and boarded the ship once it docked in Dunedin, New Zealand and gave the man a warning before escorting him off, according to a statement obtained by PEOPLE .

The aggressor was left to find his way back to Australia all on his own, the Otago Daily Times reported.
