Officials are investigating after a man was killed by car in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday evening, according to the police department.

On Nov. 18, officers with the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue just before 8 p.m. for a reported crash involving a car and a pedestrian, officials said.

A man who was identified as the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics just before 8:30 p.m., police said.

The driver allegedly involved in this crash stayed at the scene, police reported.

The Philadelphia Police Department's Crash Investigation Division is investigating this incident.
