LISBON, Ohio - Water service has been restored to the Village of Lisbon after multiple breaks in the water system were reported. In an attempt to increase water pressure for residents, the village installed a new water tower; the tower was officially put to use Monday.
Through a Facebook post, Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson said the new tower, with increased water pressure caused multiple breaks to water lines.
"When you're increasing pressure on older lines, this may cause breaks," Wilson said.
The Lisbon Water Department told 21 News the breaks have been resolved as of Tuesday night but some areas will remain on boil alerts.
