As the temperature continues to plummet, the Met Office is predicting 39 areas across the UK could be set for snow on Wednesday morning.

There are weather warnings in place for snow and ice after snow fell across parts of Scotland on Tuesday, November 18 - but more could yet be in store as yellow and amber warnings are in place as the week goes on.

Northern Scotland is subject to a yellow warning from 6pm on Tuesday to 9pm on Thursday, with the same applying from 12am on Wednesday until 11.59pm on Thursday for much of north-east England and Yorkshire.
