Angel City FC midfielder Hina Sugita agreed to a three-year contract extension on Tuesday that spans through the 2029 season.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Sugita, who was acquired from the Portland Thorns on Sept. 30 in exchange for defender M.A. Vignola and $600,000 in intra-league transfer funds.
"Hina is a world class talent and exactly the caliber of player and person we want at our club," said Mark Parsons, Angel City's sporting director. "She has fit in immediately from the moment she arrived and we know that she will continue to contribute to our goals of competing for trophies."
Sugita, 28, had been with the Thorns since 2022 and racked up 13 goals and 14 assists in league play (82 appearances, 71 starts). She had three assists for Portland this season before playing i
