A MAN has appeared in court for the first time charged with causing a crash that saw a Rural Fire Service truck roll, injuring the driver.

Ronald James Easey appeared in Quirindi Local Court on Wednesday, November 19, on two charges after he was charged by police from the Crash Investigation Unit in Tamworth two months ago.

The 65-year-old is accused of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH) by driving in a manner dangerous; as well as negligent driving occasioning GBH.

He was not required to enter a plea to either charge in court on Wednesday, and the case has been adjourned to December by Magistrate Julie Soars.

Easey was first charged in September after three months of investigations into the crash at Quipolly, about 55km out of Tamworth.
