All flyovers in Mumbai should be repaired immediately and a new layer (resurfacing) should be applied to the road surface. These works should be completed by February. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also ordered the establishment of a separate cell for quality control of this work on Tuesday.
A meeting was held at the Ministry under the chairmanship of Shinde to review the current status and repair work of all flyovers in Mumbai. Deputy Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Navin Sona, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC ) Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, MMRDA Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) Managing Director Anil Kumar Gaikwad were present on this occasion.
