Mohali: Student brutally attacked by 20-25 youths outside Engineering College

Mohali/Dera Bassi (Punjab), November 19, 2025: A shocking act of violence took place in broad daylight outside Sri Sukhmani Engineering College in Dera Bassi, Mohali, on Tuesday.

Around 20 to 25 youths surrounded and brutally assaulted a student, Harsh Rana, over an old dispute, leaving him with serious head injuries. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed outside the college.

Other students present at the scene immediately rushed Harsh to the Civil Hospital in Dera Bassi. Given the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32) in Chandigarh, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
