Arsenal have been dealt a major injury blow ahead of the north London derby after Gabriel suffered an injury playing for Brazil.
The Gunners face Tottenham at Emirates Stadium on Sunday and have been left sweating over the fitness of arguably their most important player this season.
Viktor Gyokeres was out injured before the international break and there have also been fitness concerns over Riccardo Calafiori, while Kai Havertz has suffered a setback in his recovery from his knee injury.
Arteta could have some key players back to face Spurs but the absence of Gabriel would be a major blow for the Premier League leaders, given he has been a key part of the defence that has conceded just five goals in 11 games.
