COLUMBUS, Ohio — After helping the Columbus Crew win multiple trophies in the last three seasons, Wilfried Nancy could be on his way to Europe.
According to François Verdenet of L’Equipe in France , Nancy is in advanced talks with Scottish powerhouse club Celtic FC to become their next head coach. Verdenet added that the deal could happen this week if Celtic and the Columbus Crew come to an agreement to let Nancy leave for Scotland.
Nancy has one more year left on his contract.
Michael Arace of Disrespected Media took things a step further and wrote about how Celtic has the “power, money and prestige” to get a deal done with the Crew for Nancy.
Celtic is one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe, winning 55 Scottish League championships, 42 Scottish Cups and a UEFA Champions League
