Villagers in Tekmal, Medak district in Andhra Pradesh, erupted in celebration on Tuesday, 18 November, following the arrest of sub-inspector Rajesh by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a bribery case.
When ACB officers arrived, the sub-inspector fled with the bribe money but was chased and caught in nearby agricultural fields opposite Jai Durgabhavani wines.
The marked bribe amount of ₹30,000 was recovered from his possession, reported the Deccan Chronicle .
