PANAJI: Amid growing concerns over a spate of dacoities in the state, Union Minister Shripad Naik has stressed the need for a new and more effective strategy to curb serious crimes in Goa.

Naik warned that criminals appear to be “growing stronger” and urged both the Chief Minister and the police machinery to adopt strong preventive measures to restore public confidence. He also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant.
