SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A Shreveport man had pleaded guilty to participating in inappropriate sexual behavior with an underage girl.

The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office says Leangelo Ardison, 22, pleaded guilty in court Tuesday, Nov. 18 just as the first witness was starting to testify against him.

CRIME IN THE ARKLATEX

The six-man, six-woman jury had just started to hear testimony when Ardison decided to change his plea to guilty. He’s expected back in court Jan. 6, 2026 for sentencing.

Officials say Ardison was initially charged with a felony count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile between August and October of 2024.

At his sentencing, Ardison faces up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000, the DA’s office says.
